Still, if glue is stuck, it can only be lower than 100 ° C. 3) Microporous ceramics generally do not mention the roughness problem, because there are micropores, but the surface smoothness is similar to Ra0.8 of dense ceramics. 4) Low thermal conductivity. Only dense materials will have high thermal conductivity. 5) Microporous ceramics cannot be used in a humid environment or come into contact with conductive liquids. Otherwi

Chinese National Day is celebrated on October 1st every year to commemorate the founding of the People’s Republic of China. October 1st 1949 was the memorial day for the founding of the People’s Republic of China. One thing that should be noted is that the PRC was not founded on that day. Actually the Chinese independence day was September 21st, 1949. The grand ceremony held at Tiananmen Square on October 1st, 1949 was to celebrate the forming of the Central People's Government of the brand new country. Later on October 2nd, 1949, the new government passed the ‘Resolution on the National Day of the People's Republic of China’ and declared October 1 to be the Chinese National Day. Ever since 1950, every October 1st has been grandly celebrated by Chinese people. The 7-day holiday from Oct. 1st to 7th is called 'Golden Week', our office will be closed from Oct. 1st to 7th. During the holidays, please feel free to send your e-mail inquiries to sales@innovacera.com, we will

Empa claims new ceramic foam approach advances diesel filter structure

By this time next year, Europe will be enforcing a tough, new standard on exhaust emissions from trucks and busses. Starting in September 2014, all new passenger and many lighter-weight commercial vehicles in regions covered by the European Commission’s rules will be required to have “Euro 6″-certified engines, and, in response, vehicle manufacturers and various research groups have been accelerating their filtration R&D. Switzerland’s Empa is of the institutions focusing on this issue, and researchers there say they are excited about some unconventional restructuring of the main filter components—typically ceramic substrates—that they say will enable manufacturers to meet pollution goals. Heretofore, the standard diesel emissions filter is an extruded honeycomb-structure ceramic (e.g., cordierite) substrate that has a light coating of a catalytic material, s

How are advanced ceramic components made?

Image
Source: https://www.innovacera.com/news/how-are-advanced-ceramic-components-made.html Advanced technical ceramics are generally produced on a relatively small scale. Expensive raw materials are used, but these are compensated for with the resultant improved properties and consistency. The important processing of advanced ceramic components are produced by sintering (firing) compacted ceramic powder (raw material) forming. The form components are usually referred to as 'green-state' and numerous powder-forming processes have been developed including dry pressing, hot pressing, isostatic pressing (CIP and HIP), injection, slip casting and extrusion. However, the powder consists of solid, hard, brittle particulates, so it is difficult to consolidate in a die by pressure alone. A binder is usually added to enhance the flow properties of the powder, leading to higher density in the final component. The binders used vary according to the process to be used and the desired proper

How to make boron nitride ceramic part

Image
When we make boron nitride ceramic part, generally we make big billet, our billet max size is 420 * 430 * 220 mm, and then machine it as other small part or customized shape part. In the producing process, we separated powder with graphite mould by graphite paper to make sure there is no reaction between them. Boron Nitride is easy to machine it, so we can machine it by common tool and we machine it without water or other liquid. We also have precision CNC engraving and milling machine to make high precision part. Generally the best tolerance we make is +/-0.03 mm (small part) or +/-0.05 mm for bigger part.  #BoronNitride #BoronNitrideCeramic #innovacera More: https://www.innovacera.com/news/how-to-make-boron-nitride-ceramic-part.html
